Blues to Participate in Charity Softball

ST. LOUIS - On Friday May 7, 2010, the St. Louis Blues, Blues Alumni and Responder Rescue, INC., will be hosting a charity softball game at CBC High School at 7:30 PM. Proceeds will go to Officer Matt Crosby and his family through Responder Rescue. Officer Crosby of the Rock Hill Police Department was wounded in the line of duty on April 8, 2010.


Blues players confirmed to play are, David Backes, Eric Brewer, Barret Jackman, Cam Janssen, Erik Johnson, Alex Steen and Darryl Sydor along with coaches Davis Payne, Brad Shaw and Ray Bennett. Blues Alumni include Al MacInnis, Bernie Federko, John Davidson, Scott Mellanby, Jamal Mayers, Blake Dunlop and recently retired Keith Tkachuk. Some of The Friends who will be playing in the game include John Crosby (Matt’s father), JC Corcoran, Martin Kilcoyne, Rene Knott, Brian McKenna, Dan O’Neill, Kevin Slaten, Andy Strickland and Kevin Wheeler along with former Cardinals John Mabry and Mike Matheny. General admission tickets are $10 and are now only available at the gate.
