Blues to Participate in 2007 Prospects Tournament

Blues Have Captured Four Titles in Nine Years

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the club will participate in the 2007 NHL Prospects Tournament, September 7-11, in Traverse City, Michigan. There are eight teams playing in this year’s tournament and the Blues will face-off in the three-game round robin tournament against Columbus, Dallas and Minnesota.

The Blues’ roster includes draft picks, signed players and tryout players and this year is highlighted by defenseman Erik Johnson (St. Louis’ 1st round selection, 1st overall in 2006) and goaltender Marek Schwarz (St. Louis’ 1st round selection, 17th overall in 2004), who helped the Blues’ prospects win the tournament in 2004.

The roster also includes 2007 draft selections Brett Sonne (3rd round, 85th overall) and Anthony Peluso (6th round, 160th overall).

Friday, Sept. 7 - vs. Columbus (2 p.m. CT) 6-4 W
Saturday, Sept. 8 - vs. Dallas (6 p.m. CT) 5-0 W
Monday, Sept. 10 - vs. Minnesota (2 p.m. CT) 7-3 L
Tuesday, Sept. 11 - vs. Detroit (1:30 p.m. CT)  5-3 W
