Blues to honor Chuck Berry on Thursday

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues will celebrate the life of Chuck Berry during their March 23 game against the Vancouver Canucks at Scottrade Center.

The night will include music from Billy Peek - Berry's long-time guitarist - who will perfrom from Pepsi Plaza during the game. The Blues will also pay tribute to Berry on the video board during the first period.

Berry was a singer/songwriter from St. Louis and is considered by many to be the father of rock 'n' roll. His biggest hits include "Johnny B. Goode," "Roll Over Beethoven," "Maybelline," and "Run, Run Rudolph." He passed away at 90 years old on March 18.

Tickets for the game are still available at the Scottrade Center Box Office or online at ticketmaster.com.
