Blues to Face Los Angeles in Round 2

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues will face off against the Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Blues defeated the San Jose Sharks in Round 1, winning the best-of-7 series 4-1. The Los Angeles Kings beat the first-ranked Vancouver Canucks in 5 games of their best-of-7 first round series, leaving the Blues as the top seed in the Western Conference.

This will be the third time (1969 and 1998) in franchise history that St. Louis and Los Angeles will match-up against one another in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The last series, in 1998, was a Western Conference Quarterfinal matchup where the Blues defeated the Kings in four games. The Blues also swept the Kings in the 1969 League Semifinal.

Blues Playoff Tickets for Game 1 and Game 2 will go on sale to the general public on Monday, April 23 at noon. In addition, Blues Season Ticket Holders will have access to an exclusive presale for both games beginning Monday at 10 a.m. The dates and times for the Blues / Kings series will be announced by the NHL at the conclusion of all first round games.
