DALLAS - A group of former NHL players and some Dallas area youth hockey players gathered for an alumni game Sunday night at American Airlines Center.

Proceeds from the second annual alumni game benefited Defending the Blue Line, a program that keeps children of armed service members involved in youth hockey programs by providing access to free equipment, summer hockey tournaments and by helping with local association fees. Last season, the game was organized to benefit a family who lost several loved ones in a tragic car accident on the way to a hockey tournament.

This year’s game was organized by former Blue Bob Bassen, who works in Dallas with the Stars Alumni Association.

Blues Alumni: Martin Brodeur, Kelly Chase, Paul Cavallini, Kirk Muller, Larry Patey, Jamie Rivers, Brad Shaw, Terry Yake and John Wensink

Stars Alumni: Stu Barnes, Bob Bassen, Ed Belfour, Craig Ludwig, Joe Nieuwendyk, Blake Sloan and Marty Turco
