ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed forward Jeremy Welsh to a one-year, two-way contact.
Welsh, 26, split last season between the Vancouver Canucks and the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Utica Comets. The 6-foot-3, 191-pound forward posted one goal and six penalty minutes in 19 regular season games with the Canucks, as well as 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) and 14 penalty minutes in 49 regular season games with the Comets.
Overall, the Bayfield, Ontario native has appeared in 25 career NHL regular season games, including stints with Vancouver and Carolina, totaling two points (one goal, one assist) and 10 penalty minutes.
In addition, the Union College alum has accumulated 41 points (21 goals, 20 assists) and 30 penalty minutes in 118 career AHL regular season games, and three assists in five AHL postseason appearances.
