Blues Sign Walker to One-Year Deal

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has signed defenseman Matt Walker to a one-year contract.


Walker, 27, played in 48 games last season with the Blues, registering five assists, 72 penalty minutes and a plus-seven rating. He skated in his 100th career NHL game on Nov. 12 vs. Edmonton. Walker has played in a total of 132 NHL games, recording nine assists and 214 penalty minutes.

The Beaverlodge, Alberta native was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, 83rd overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
