ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday the club has signed forward Maxim Lapierre to a two-year contract.
Lapierre, 28, dressed in 48 games for Vancouver last season, posting 10 points (four goals and six assists) to go along with 45 penalty minutes.
In addition, the 6-foot-2, 207-pound forward registered six penalty minutes in four postseason games.
Overall, Lapierre has appeared in eight National Hockey League (NHL) seasons, including stints with Montreal, Anaheim and Vancouver, totaling 113 points (54 goals, 59 assists) and 476 penalty minutes in 463 regular season games.
In 69 career postseason games, Lapierre has tallied 13 points (six goals, seven assists) and 140 penalty minutes.
The Saint-Leonard, Quebec native was originally drafted by Montreal in the second round, 61st overall, of the 2003 Entry Draft.
