ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the team has signed right wing Mike Johnson.
The 6-2, 202-pound forward played last season with the Montreal Canadiens, collecting 31 points (11 goals, 30 assists) along with 40 penalty minutes.
Johnson has also spent time with Phoenix, Tampa Bay and Toronto. He set career highs in all offensive categories, goals (23), assists (40) and points (63) during the 2002-03 season while with the Phoenix Coyotes.
He has scored 20-or-more goals in a season twice and has tallied 10-or-more goals in eight of his 10 NHL seasons.
The Scarborough, Ontario native has skated in 640 career NHL games and has collected 370 points (127 goals, 243 assists) along with 307 penalty minutes.
