The Blues have signed center Derek Roy, who passed his physical and has agreed to a one-year contract with the Blues.
Roy split last season between the Dallas Stars and the Vancouver Canucks, playing in 42 games and registering seven goals and 21 assists (28 points).
His best season in the NHL came as a member of the Buffalo Sabres in 2007-08. Roy played in 78 games and scored 32 goals and 49 assists (81 points).
For his career, the 30-year old native of Ottawa has played in 591 NHL games, recording 168 goals and 287 assists (455 points). He has a career plus-43 rating.
Roy was drafted in the second round (32nd overall) by the Sabres in the 2001 NHL Draft.
