ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed forward Samuel Blais to a three-year entry-level contract.
Blais was originally drafted by the Blues in the sixth round (176th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Blais, 19, is currently in his third year with the Victoriaville Tigres of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). This season, the 6-foot-1, 181-pound forward leads the club with 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists) in 18 appearances. Overall, the Montmagny, Quebec, native has dressed in 104 career QMJHL regular season games, accumulating 122 points (47 goals, 75 assists) and 67 penalty minutes.
In addition, he has logged six points (two goals, four assists) and four penalty minutes in eight career postseason games.
