Blues Set Franchise Record for Shutouts

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

With Brian Elliott's shutout on Sunday against Phoenix, the Blues have set a new franchise record for shutouts in one season (14).

Elliott now has eight shutouts in 35 appearances, which ties Hall for the most in one season by a Blues goaltender. Jaroslav Halak has six shutouts in 43 games this season.

Among the team's franchise shutout leaders, Halak is tied at No. 2 with Roman Turek with 13 shutouts, just three behind Glenn Hall, who holds the team record with 16.
