ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Tuesday the club has recalled forward Yan Stastny from the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Stastny, 27, has played in eight games this season with Peoria registering nine points (3 goals, 6 assists) along with two penalty minutes. Last season, the 6-0, 192-pound center played 34 games with the Blues recording seven points (three goals, four assists) and 21 penalty minutes.
The Quebec City, Quebec native was acquired by the Blues from Boston for a 5th round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft. Stastny was originally drafted by the Bruins in the eighth round, 259th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
