Blues recall Schmaltz from Chicago Wolves

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have recalled defenseman Jordan Schmaltz from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Schmaltz, 23, was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round (No. 25 overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman has dressed in 42 games for the Wolves this season, posting 25 points (three goals, 22 assists) and 22 penalty minutes.

Overall, the Verona, Wisconsin native has accumulated 61 points (nine goals, 52 assists) and 46 penalty minutes in 113 career AHL regular season games.
