ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Monday the club has re-signed forward T.J. Hensick to a two-year contract extension.

Hensick, 25, played in 13 games for the Blues last season, recording three points (1g, 2a) and played in 59 games for the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen, registering 69 points (21 goals, 48 assists).

The 5’10”, 190-pound forward’s 69 points led the Rivermen and ranked 10th in the AHL while his 48 assists led the team and tied for fifth in the AHL. Hensick played in his third AHL All-Star game when he represented the Western Conference at the 2011 AHL-All Star Classic.

The Lansing, Michigan native was acquired by the Blues from Colorado in exchange for Julian Talbot on June 17, 2010 and was originally drafted by Colorado in the third round (88th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
