ST. LOUIS - With a 44-14-6 record (94 points) through 64 games, the Blues were No. 1 overall in the NHL on Monday morning.
They also ranked first overall in power rankings from ESPN and TSN.
Here's what ESPN had to say about the Blues: "Ryan Miller is a perfect 4-0-0 since joining the Blues. That's how you make a first impression. The Blues have won five straight overall, including tough wins in Colorado and Minnesota over the weekend."
In ESPN's rankings, the Blues are ahead of the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks and Boston Bruins, who round out the top five.
TSN said "Winners of five straight, the Blues are locking down on the opposition, allowing 21 or fewer shots in four of the past six games."
TSN's top five include the Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins.
