Blues head to nation's capital to meet Washington

ST. LOUIS - Fresh off a 3-2 overtime win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday night, the Blues are gearing up to continue preseason action on Friday against the Washington Capitals.

The game begins at 6 p.m. CT at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Blues fans can follow the action live on NHL Network or get streaming audio at stlouisblues.com or by using the Blues mobile app.

Friday's game is the first of three consecutive preseason games for the Blues (1-1), who will play eight exhibition contests before opening the regular season on Oct. 4 in Pittsburgh.

Through two preseason games, Vladimir Tarasenko, Jaden Schwartz and Sam Blais lead the club with two points each.
