ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Monday the club has acquired goaltender Joe Fallon from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Hannu Toivonen and Danny Richmond.
Fallon, 25, has played in 29 games this season with the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Rockford IceHogs, recording a 15-10-1 mark including a 2.64 GAA and .912 save percentage.
Last season, the 6-3, 190-pound goaltender spent the majority of his season with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL collecting a 10-10-1 record, 3.23 GAA and .901 save percentage in 22 games.
The Bemidji, Minnesota native was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the sixth round, 167th overall in the 2005 entry draft.
Fallon will report to the Blues’ AHL affiliate Peoria Rivermen.
