ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has assigned defenseman Tyson Strachan to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Strachan, 24, made his NHL debut with the Blues on Dec. 18th at Washington. He has skated in 27 games for the Blues this season, registering three assists and 39 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 212-pound defenseman has played in 28 games for the Rivermen this season, recording four points (two goals, two assists) and 65 penalty minutes.
The Melfort, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by Carolina in the fifth round, 137th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
