ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has assigned defenseman Steve Wagner to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Wagner, 24, has skated in 17 games for the Blues this season, collecting two points (one goal, one assist) along with 18 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 191-pound defenseman has played in 41 National Hockey League games, all with St. Louis, collecting 10 points (three goals, seven assists). This season with Peoria, Wagner has played in 27 games, notching 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) and 23 penalty minutes.
The Grand Rapids, Minnesota native was signed by the Blues as an undrafted free agent on March 20, 2007.
