ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned forward Ty Rattie and goaltender Niklas Lundstrom to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.
The Wolves are currently tied 1-1 in their Western Conference Quarterfinals series against the Utica Comets. Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 in Utica.
Rattie, 22, dressed in 59 games for the Wolves this regular season, ranking second on the club with 21 goals and third with 42 points. The 6-foot, 192-pound forward also made 11 appearances for the Blues, logging two assists. The Calgary, Alberta, native was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2011 Entry Draft.
Lundstrom, 22, spent the majority of this regular season with the Blues’ East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) affiliate, the Alaska Aces, posting a 17-16-2 record to go along with a 3.05 goals against average and a .895 save percentage. The 6-foot-2, 178-pound goaltender also made one appearance for the Wolves, stopping six shots in 14 minutes of play. The Varmdo, Sweden, native was drafted by the Blues in the fifth round (132nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
