ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday the club has assigned defenseman Nathan Oystrick (Ol-strihk) to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Oystrick, 27, made his Blues debut on Oct. 30 vs. Atlanta and registered an assist in the Blues’ 4-3 shootout win.
While with the Blues, he made seven appearances totaling two assists and serving nine penalty minutes.
In Peoria this season, Oystrick has played in 10 games recording seven points (three goals, four assists) to go along with 16 penalty minutes.
The Regina, Saskatchewan native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 12, 2010 and was originally drafted by Atlanta in the seventh round, 198th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
