Blues Assign Cole, Cracknell to Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday the club has assigned defenseman Ian Cole and forward Adam Cracknell to the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Cole, 22, has appeared in 24 games for the Blues this season recording four points including a goal and three assists. With Peoria, the 6’1, 221-pound defenseman has dressed in 39 games tallying 13 points including five goals and eight assists. The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 18th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Cracknell, 25, has played in 22 games for the Blues this season notching six points including three goals and three assists. The 6’1, 216-pound forward has also made 54 appearances for the Rivermen amassing 21 points including six goals and 15 assists. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 23, 2009. .
