ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have assigned forwards Ivan Barbashev and Magnus Paajarvi to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.
Barbashev, 21, was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. This season, the 6-foot, 195-pound forward ranks third on the Wolves with 37 points (19 goals, 18 assists) in 45 games. The Moscow, Russia, native has also dressed in 12 games with the Blues this season, posting three points (two goals, one assist) and two penalty minutes.
Paajarvi, 25, has dressed in 25 games for the Wolves this season, tallying 16 points (six goals, 10 assists). The 6-foot-2, 202-pound forward has also appeared in 10 games with the Blues, recording four points (three goals, one assist) and two penalty minutes.
Overall, the Norrkoping, Sweden, native has made 286 career NHL regular season appearances, accumulating 84 points (38 goals, 46 assists) and 56 penalty minutes.
