The Blues have taken over the No. 1 spot in power rankings from both ESPN and TSN for the week ending Nov. 17.
Here's what ESPN had to say: "Led by first-quarter MVP (in our books, at least) Alex Steen, the Blues boast the best winning percentage in the NHL in spite of their Sunday night setback at the hands of the Capitals."
The Blues jumped up from the No. 3 spot last week in ESPN's rankings. Phoenix, Anaheim, Chicago and Colorado round out the top five.
At TSN, the Blues finally moved up to No. 1 after having been ranked in the Top 5 all season. Last week, St. Louis was ranked No. 2 behind the Colorado Avalanche, who they defeated 7-3 on Nov. 14. San Jose, Chicago, Minnesota and Boston round out TSN's Top 5.
Through Sunday's games, the Blues 13-3-3 in 19 games this season.
