June is Pride Month, and the St. Louis Blues are joining the NHL and the NHL Players' Association in celebrating the occasion in a variety of ways.
Pride Month is part of the League's year-round Hockey is for Everyone initiative, which aims to make the game more inclusive to everyone regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, disability, sexual orientation and socio-economic status.
"Our support of Pride Month reflects the St Louis Blues' commitment to help make our sport and community a safe and inclusive environment for all," said Chris Zimmerman, Blues President and CEO of Business Operations. "Along with the National Hockey League, we have worked on programs for the last two decades to bring meaning and purpose to the Hockey is for Everyone programs. We recognize we have much work still to do. We are proud to partner with the local LGBTQ+ community to celebrate Pride Month."
