Blais agrees to two-year contract extension with Blues

Two-year deal carries an annual average value of $1.5 million

ST. LOUIS - Sammy Blais has agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues.

The annual average value of the deal is $1.5 million.

Blais has been limited to just 11 games this season due to injury, recording one goal and two assists. In 83 career games over three seasons - all with the Blues - Blais has posted nine goals and 11 assists (20 points).

The Montmagny, Quebec native, who was drafted by the Blues in the sixth round of the 2014 NHL Draft (No. 176 overall), would have been a restricted free agent at the end of the 2019-20 season.
