ST. LOUIS – The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) has named Blues goaltending prospect Jordan Binnington
as the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 18.
Binnington, 19, posted a 2-1-0 record, a 1.34 goals against average and a .956 save percentage for the first-place Owen Sound Attack last week, becoming the first goaltender to earn Player of the Week honors in the OHL this season.
In addition, the Richmond Hill, Ontario native recorded a pair of shutouts, including the 66th win of his career on Nov. 17, moving him past former Blue Curtis Sanford for first on the Attack’s all-time franchise list.
Overall, the Blues’ 2011 third round draft pick (88th overall) owns a 13-3-1-2 record this season and ranks second among all OHL goaltenders with both a 2.18 goals against average and a .932 save percentage.
