ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed forward Cody Beach to a one-year, two-way contract.
Beach, 22, spent the majority of last season with the Chicago Wolves, recording nine points (two goals, seven assists) and 210 penalty minutes in 41 regular season games, as well as six penalty minutes in four postseason appearances.
In addition, the 6-foot-5, 206-pound forward dressed in six games with the Blues’ East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) affiliate, the Alaska Aces, serving 26 penalty minutes.
Overall, Beach has totaled 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) in 98 career AHL games and 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 37 career ECHL contests. The Nanaimo, British Columbia native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 134th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
