ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues are dealing with a handful of injuries following a three-game road trip, prompting the club to recall Jordan Kyrou, Jordan Nolan and Chris Butler from the San Antonio Rampage.
During a meeting with the media on Monday afternoon, Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong provided updates on all of the injured Blues.
Here's what we learned:
Alex Pietrangelo sustained a hand injury in the third period of the Nov. 30 game against the Colorado Avalanche and has been placed on long-term injured reserve. Pietrangelo is meeting with doctors to determine whether surgery will be required. He will be re-evaluated around Christmas.
Robby Fabbri sustained a seperated shoulder late in the first period of the Dec. 1 game against the Arizona Coyotes. While surgery is not required, Fabbri will be re-evaluated around Christmas.
Alexander Steen is dealing with concussion symptoms following a second-period hit from Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson in the Nov. 30 game at Pepsi Center. Steen is currently listed as day-to-day.
Jaden Schwartz (upper-body) is day-to-day and getting closer to making his return.
Carl Gunnarsson (upper-body) is day-to-day and getting closer to making his return.
