Maryland Heights is the place to be Saturday as the hockey community celebrates the grand opening of the Centene Community Ice Center!
A full day of family-friendly activities is on the schedule following the morning's ribbon cutting ceremony, including a Celebrity/St. Louis Youth Hockey Coaches game featuring Blues alumni such as Barret Jackman, Cam Janssen and Rick Zombo.
The event is free and open to the public.

Other celebrities scheduled to lace up for the game include Blues executives Tom Stillman and Chris Zimmerman, broadcaster Joey Vitale, and USA Women's Hockey Olympic medalists Shelley Looney and Nicole Hensley.
The festivities start at 10 a.m. and continue all day, rain or shine. There will be free family outdoor activities until 3 p.m. and the first 3,000 people in attendance receive a scratch-off ticket for a chance to win prizes.
The new state-of-the-art Centene Community Ice Center will serve as practice home to the Blues and home to the Lindenwood University Hockey Program, St. Louis AAA Blues Hockey, St. Louis Lady Cyclones, and St. Louis Blues Alumni Association.
