ST. LOUIS - Three St. Louis Blues prospects will participate in the NHLPA's Rookie Showcase in Toronto on Aug. 28.
Forwards Tage Thompson and Klim Kostin, along with defenseman Jake Walman, were named to the roster on Tuesday morning. The showcase will feature 25 NHL prospects and rookies, and the Blues' three representatives is more than any other NHL club.

The showcase provides Upper Deck - the official trading card partner of the NHLPA and the NHL - an opportunity to capture photographs and videos of many of the game's top young prospects and rookies in their official NHL team uniforms.
Thompson, 19, was the Blues' first-round pick (No. 26 overall) at the 2016 NHL Draft. Thompson spent two seasons at UConn, totaling 33 goals and 31 assists (64 points). He turned pro after his sophomore season and joined the Chicago Wolves in the AHL, where he scored three goals and two assists.
Kostin, 18, was selected by the Blues in the first round (No. 31 overall) at the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago last June. The Blues traded forward Ryan Reaves to the Pittsburgh Penguins to acquire the pick, which was used to select Kostin - the top-ranked European player in the draft.
Walman, 21, was selected by the Blues in the third round (No. 82 overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft. The 6-foot, 193-pound defenseman played in three seasons with Providence College, where he was named a Hockey East First-Team All-Star and earned second team All-American honors in his junior season. Walman won the NCAA Frozen Four with Providence in the 2015 season. He joined the Wolves after his junior season, registering two goals, one assist and a plus-3 rating in seven regular-season appearances.
