3 Blues Injured Friday in Anaheim

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

ANAHEIM - At one moment in the first period Friday night in Anaheim, the Blues lost two players to injury.

Paul Stastny went to the locker room in pain after Alexander Steen's shot deflected off a Ducks' player stick and hit him in the head. Immediately afterwards, Jay Bouwmeester skated off the ice after being hit hard by Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf.

Then, in the second period, Ducks forward Corey Perry crashed the net and collided with Jake Allen, who stayed in the game for a few minutes before heading to the locker room himself.

Neither Stastny (upper-body), Bouwmeester (upper-body) nor Allen (undisclosed) returned to the game.

Blues GM Doug Armstong said none of the players would be available for Saturday's game against the Kings, and all would be re-evaluated by the medical staff on Monday.
