TRAVERSE CITY - The Blue Jackets are making some roster changes and doing some lineup shuffling before their final preliminary round game against Chicago (3:30 p.m. today, LIVE on FOX Sports Go and the Blue Jackets App).

Defensemen Dillon Heatherington and Dean Kukan have been "called up" to play this afternoon and will remain with the Blue Jackets for the balance of the tournament. Heatherington was on the club's initial roster for the NHL Prospects Tournament but did not make the trip to Traverse City last week.

The juggling is necessary due to injuries to Zach Werenski and Jacob Graves, who will not play this afternoon. Werenski has a lower body injury and is being held out as a precaution; Graves has a knee injury and is being examined by team medical personnel today.

In Werenski's absence, Heatherington will serve as captain for the Blue Jackets rookies.
