Since opening the season 4-4-0, the Blue Jackets have gone 23-11-3 and lost backto- back games just twice (Dec. 1-4, Dec. 8-11)... The club, which owns the fifth-best record in the NHL since October 25 and has won three-straight games, is 11-3-1 following a regulation loss this season.
RW CAM ATKINSON tallied 1-1-2 vs. the NY Rangers on Jan. 13 to raise his career totals to 171-148-319 in 491 games and move into second place on the club's alltime points list.
JOHN TORTORELLA became the first American, sixth active and 19th coach in NHL history to record 600 wins in a 4-3 victory over Nashville on Jan. 10... He is 602-477-141 in 1,220 games, including 156-102-26 in 284 games with Columbus. He is the franchise leader in wins and enters the week tied with Ken Hitchcock for most games coached in club history.
LW ARTEMI PANARIN became the first Blue Jacket to score an overtime goal in back-to-back games on Jan. 10 vs. Nashville and Jan. 12 at Washington, marking the 28th time in NHL history a player did so. His four OT goals this season are a new CBJ record and one shy of the NHL season mark of five (by four players).
