Wilson, 26, has collected four goals and seven assists for 11 points and 12 penalty minutes in 32 games with the Blue Jackets this season. In addition, he has tallied 11-11-22 and two penalty minutes in 20 games with Springfield. Signed as a free agent by Columbus on July 2, 2010, he joined the club after spending the past three seasons with the Washington Capitals organization. In 2009-10, he tallied 0-2-2 in two games with the Capitals and added 24-29-53, 23 penalty minutes and was +17 in 77 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears. He added 6-6-12 in 21 playoff games to help the Bears capture their second-straight Calder Cup Championship.
Minnesota’s 12th pick, 272nd overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft, Wilson has registered 118-131-249, 110 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +49 in 318 career AHL games. He has added 16-25-41 and 16 penalty minutes in 67 Calder Cup playoff games. Prior to his professional career, he tallied 46-55-101 and 72 penalty minutes in 139 games with Colgate of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference from 2002-2006.
