After opening night, the Blue Jackets embark on a three-game road trip that includes stops in Vancouver (Oct. 5), San Jose (Oct. 8) and Phoenix (Oct. 10)… Columbus plays eight of its first 13 games of the season on the road… Columbus is 28-48-9 all-time in games played in October, including a 11-9-1 mark the past two years… LW Rick Nash enters the season six goals shy of 200 in his NHL career (194-161-355 in 441 games)... QFM96 BREAKFAST CLUB SET FOR FRIDAY
Once again this year, WLVQ-Radio (QFM96) will be kicking off the 2009-10 season by hosting the "Blue Jackets Breakfast Club" at the Frog, Bear & Wild Boar Bar on Friday from 6 to 10 a.m. Wags & Elliot will be broadcasting live with Blue Jackets guests including head coach Ken Hitchcock, development coach Tyler Wright and players Samuel Pahlsson, Jakub Voracek and Antoine Vermette.
