*Record Start: With a 6-3-1 record in their first 10 games, the Blue Jackets are off to the best start in franchise history… The club's previous best record through 10 outings was 4-5-1 in 2002-03… Last season, the Jackets recorded their sixth win on Nov. 25 in their 22nd game.

*NHL’s Best: The Blue Jackets are tied for the NHL lead in goals-against average, allowing just 20 goals (19, plus one shootout goal) in 10 games for a 1.90 GAA (tied with Ottawa Senators)… Columbus boasts the top penalty killing unit in the league at 94.1 percent (48-of-51)… The club is tied for second in the NHL with two shorthanded goals (3 – Anaheim)... Both of Columbus' shorthanded goals have been scored by defensemen – Adam Foote and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen.

*Streaking: Columbus enters the week having won four of its last five games and riding a three-game winning streak… They have outscored their opponents 12 to 5 in those three wins… The Jackets have scored a power play goal in each of the last six games and in eight-of-10 this season… The club's penalty killers have successfully killed off 18-consecutive opponent power plays dating back to Ryan Kesler’s first period goal in the Vancouver game on Oct. 21… Three players are riding significant games played streaks – LW Jason Chimera (171 since Oct. 9, 2005), RW David Vyborny (139 since Dec. 26, 2005) and C Manny Malhotra (125 since Jan. 24, 2006).

*Vs. This Week's Opponents: Los Angeles – Columbus is 11-12-1 all-time vs. the Kings, including 3-8-1 on the road… The Jackets are 9-6-1 since the beginning of the 2002-03 season… Anaheim – The Blue Jackets are 13-10-2 all-time vs. Anaheim, including 5-5-2 on the road… The Jackets have won the last three games played at Anaheim since a 4-3 loss on Oct. 14, 2005… St. Louis – Columbus is 15-14-9 all-time vs. the Blues, including a 9-5-5 mark at home… The Jackets have gone 10-3-4 since 2005-06, including a 3-0 win at Nationwide Arena on Oct. 25.



*G Pascal Leclaire is 5-2-0 with a 1.29 goals-against average, .949 save percentage and four shutouts in seven games this season… He leads the NHL in GAA and shutouts, while ranking second in save percentage and tying for fourth in wins… He is one shutout shy of matching the club record of five set by Marc Denis in 2002-03 and 2003-04.

*LW Rick Nash continues to rank among NHL goals and points leaders with a team-high 8-5-13 in 10 games… He enters the week tied for fifth in goals and 13th in points and also ranks second in power play points (8), fourth in power play goals (4) and 11th in shots on goal (42). He had a five-game goal scoring streak snapped on Oct. 27 vs. San Jose.

*C Jiri Novotny is riding a three-game point scoring streak (3-2-5) and currently ranks second on the club in goals and points with 4-4-8 in 10 games… He ranks second in the NHL in shooting percentage at 36.4 percent (four goals, 11 shots).

*RW Dan Fritsche has tallied 1-2-3 in his last three games after being shutout in his first six outings this season.

*C Manny Malhotra registered his second multi-point game of the season with 0-2-2 on Oct. 27 vs. San Jose.

*D Jan Hejda leads the club in plus/minus (+3-tied) and hits (19) and is second in blocked shots (11).

*C Sergei Fedorov has scored goals in two of the past three games, including the game-winner on Oct. 27 vs. San Jose.

*Rookie RW Jared Boll scored his first career game-winning goal on Oct. 25 vs. St. Louis.



Nov. 4 vs. St. Louis – HOCKEY NIGHT IN COLUMBUS: Fans are encouraged to come out and support all levels of hockey in Central Ohio when the Blue Jackets host the Blues.
