BLUE JACKETS TO PLAY FIVE OF THE NEXT SIX GAMES AT HOME
After beginning the season by playing eight of its first 13 games on the road, Columbus will play five of its next six games on home ice. The club carries a 7-5-1 mark into the stretch that includes home games vs. San Jose (Wednesday), Carolina (Saturday), Detroit (Nov. 11), Anaheim (Nov. 13) and Edmonton (Nov. 16). The lone road game during that span is Thursday's visit to Atlanta. The Blue Jackets are currently 3-1-1 at home and are 23-9-3 at Nationwide Arena since Nov. 29, 2008.
JACKETS FEAST ON THE EAST
The Blue Jackets play two of their three games this week against Atlanta and Carolina of the Eastern Conference's Southeast Division… The Jackets are 1-0-1 vs. the East this season after going 13-3-2 vs. the conference in 2008-09, which was the best record of any Western Conference team in the NHL… Since suffering a 2-0 loss at Boston on Dec. 15, 2007, Columbus has posted a 19-4-4 record vs. Eastern Conference opponents… The club has also played 11 consecutive games without suffering a regulation loss to a team from the Southeast Division, going 9-0-2 since a 5-2 loss vs. Florida on Nov. 21, 2007.

The Blue Jackets rank 11th in the NHL on the power play at 22.8 pct. PROSPECT KUBALIK HAS BIG WEEKEND
Blue Jackets prospect Tomas Kubalik was named the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Offensive Player of the Week last week after tallying 4-7-11 and was +7 in four games with Victoriaville. The Blue Jackets' sixth pick, 135th overall, in the 2008 Entry Draft, he racked up a career-high 1-7-8 and was +5 in an 11-2 win over Rouyn-Noranda on Friday night. In 17 games this season, he has notched 7-17-24.

The event, hosted by QFM 96's Archie, runs from 7-9 p.m. with Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash, forward Jared Boll and defensemen Kris Russell and Marc Methot serving up $3 16 oz. Bud Lights from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Archie will be giving out prizes throughout the night, while all tips raised will benefit the Blue Jackets Foundation.
