OhioHealth INJURY REPORT: D Bryan Berard (back injury, surgery on Oct. 19) is expected to miss two to three months… D Duvie Westcott (broken finger, Nov. 3 vs. Calgary) is expected to miss six to eight weeks.


After playing just one game vs. Central Division opponents in their first 11 games, the Blue Jackets began a stretch of playing seven-of-nine vs. division rivals last Saturday at Detroit. Columbus is 1-1-0 in the division.

Columbus has converted 6-of-27 (22.2 pct.) power play chances in its last three games after going 0-of-19 in its previous three outings.

Columbus went 12-7-1 in 2005-06 against its three opponents this week – St. Louis (5-2-1), Edmonton (2-2-0) and Chicago (5-3-0). The Jackets beat the Blackhawks 5-4 at United Center on Oct. 7.

The club has fired off 98 shots in the past three games (32.7 per game) compared to 59 in the previous three (19.7).

Friday’s game vs. Calgary marked the second time in club history Columbus scored three power play goals in a period and the four in the game tied the club record. The 11-round shootout was also the longest in club history.


RW David Vyborny has picked up a point in seven-of-12 games this season, including 3-1-4 in his last three games, and continues to the lead the club in scoring with 4-9-13.

LW Fredrik Modin has tallied 3-3-6 in his last seven games, including 1-3-4 in his last three, after notching 0-1-1 in his first five as a Blue Jacket.

C Sergei Fedorov has collected 2-1-3 in his last three games after being held without a point in his first three contests this season. He scored a goal and fired off a club season-high eight shots on goal vs. Colorado on Nov. 1.

D Duvie Westcott, who was placed on Injured Reserve on Monday, is the club’s top-scoring defenseman and ranks third on the team with 3-5-8 in 11 games. He also ranks third on the club in ice time, averaging 22:27 per game.

D Anders Eriksson is tied for the club lead among defensemen in assists with 0-5-5 in 11 games.

D Ron Hainsey collected 0-2-2 vs. Calgary on Nov. 3 to record his first multi-point game of the season, tying a career high.


D Bryan Berard is two points shy of 300 in his NHL career (71-227-298 in 554 games).

RW Anson Carter is eight goals shy of 200 and five points shy of 400 in his NHL career (192-203-395 in 622 games).

D Adam Foote is two assists shy of 200 in his NHL career (61-198-259 in 876 games).
