Columbus opens a season-high six-game homestand on Tuesday vs. Phoenix, which concludes on Feb. 18 vs. Montreal. The Blue Jackets have gone 9-3-1 at home under Head Coach Ken Hitchcock, including wins in their last three games vs. Detroit, Buffalo and Minnesota.


The Blue Jackets have converted 21.0 percent of their power play chances at home (33-of-157), which ranks 10th in the NHL. The club ranks 13th in the league in penalty killing at home, stopping 85.0 percent of its opponent power plays (108-of-127).


The Blue Jackets expect to surpass the 4 million mark in regular season attendance on Tuesday night when they host the Phoenix Coyotes at Nationwide Arena. In 230 regular season home games, the club has attracted 3,987,165 fans (17,336 average) while playing to nearly 96 percent of capacity (18,136).



D Bryan Berard, who has missed the entire season and not played in a game since Jan. 27, 2006, returned to the lineup at Edmonton on Jan. 31. He fired off two shots and was even in 21:53 of ice time vs. the Oilers and recorded three shots and an even plus/minus rating in 27:07 at Calgary two nights later.


RW Dan Fritsche is riding a career-best six-game point scoring streak (4-2-6), heading into this week’s action. He has tallied 10-10-20 in his last 29 games to raise his season totals to 12-13-25 in 49 games.


D Rostislav Klesla played in the 300th game of his NHL and Blue Jackets career at Vancouver on Jan. 30. He is the fourth player in franchise history to play in 300 games with the club, joining current teammates David Vyborny and Jody Shelley and former Blue Jacket Tyler Wright.


RW Anson Carter scored the 200th goal of his NHL career against his former Canucks teammates at Vancouver on Jan. 30. He has now registered 200-217-417 in 656 games.


C Sergei Fedorov is six points shy of 1,100 and one game shy of 1,100 for his NHL career (457-637-1,094 in 1,099 games).

In addition the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a Blue Jackets hockey card team pack presented by Upper Deck. The set includes Rick Nash, Pascal Leclaire, Adam Foote, Fredrik Modin, and Gilbert Brule.
