Columbus is in the midst of a season-high six-game home stand, which began on Tuesday vs. Phoenix and concludes on Feb. 18 vs. Montreal. The Blue Jackets have gone 10-5-1 at home under Head Coach Ken Hitchcock, including wins vs. Detroit, Buffalo and Minnesota.

The Blue Jackets have converted 20.5 percent of their power play chances at home (35-of-170), which ranks 10th in the NHL. The club ranks 13th in the league in penalty killing at home, stopping 85 percent of its opponent power plays (119-of-140).

Columbus is 3-1-0 vs. Northeast Division opponents and rounds out its schedule against the division vs. Montreal on Sunday.

The Blue Jackets surpassed the 4 million mark in regular season attendance when they hosted Phoenix at Nationwide Arena on Feb. 6. In 233 home games, the club has played before 4,033,483 fans, which is an average of 17,311 (95.5 percent of 18,136 capacity).



D Bryan Berard, who made his season debut at Edmonton on Jan. 31, tallied his first points of the season with 0-2-2 vs. Chicago on Feb. 11 to record his 300th career NHL points (71-229-300 in 559 games).

D Ron Hainsey added to his best season as a professional player with two more points. He had a power-play goal and an assist Sunday against Chicago, his sixth goal and 18th assist of the season. He has tallied 6-18-24 in 54 games in 2006-07.

RW David Vyborny scored three points last week, 2-1-3 while playing in his 450th career game vs. Calgary on Thursday, all with the Blue Jackets. He also moved into a tie with LW Rick Nash for the franchise lead in goals with 103.

LW Fredrik Modin is four goals shy of the 200th goal of his NHL career. He scored his 13th goal of the season vs. Calgary on Thursday and now stands with 196-191-387 in 715 games played.

C Sergei Fedorov is five points shy of 1,100 and just recently played his 1,100 NHL career game vs. Phoenix on Tuesday (457-638-1,095 in 1,102 games).



Wednesday, Feb. 14 vs. St. Louis - SPORTS TALK SERIES KICKS OFF WITH OLYMPIC SKATER EMILY HUGHES: The first of two Sports Talk Series Presented by This Week Newspapers is scheduled for Wednesday and features Olympic figure skater Emily Hughes. In addition to a question & answer session from 5 to 6 p.m., Hughes will perform a special skating demonstration and sign autographs for one hour prior to the game. Sports Talk ticket packages are available at The next Sports Talk Series event will feature OSU basketball great and CBS analyst Clark Kellogg on Thursday, February 22 when the Jackets host the Edmonton Oilers.
