TRIVIA TUESDAY: And So It Begins...

by Rob Mixer / Columbus Blue Jackets

We've teased it, talked about it, and teased it some more. But here it goes...

You have arrived at the first installment of the CBJ Today's "Trivia Tuesday." Before we get started with all the fun, allow me to briefly introduce the concept and how we're going to go about this exciting new feature.

At the root of it, we love talking hockey. These are the so-called dog days of summer, but quite honestly, they don't have to be as long as we keep this up and interact on a regular basis. Thankfully, I've buried myself into a few too many stat sheets, highlight videos and record books over the years and have compiled a hearty list of factoids/tidbits/informational nuggets that we can use to give away some cool CBJ stuff.

What are we giving away? Good question. We don't have a set "list" of things to award the weekly winners, but don't worry -- each week's prize will have an idea behind it and we're pretty confident you will enjoy it.

Now, here's how Trivia Tuesday is going to work:

1) Beginning today, we're going to post a Blue Jackets trivia question to the CBJ Today blog each Tuesday afternoon. There will be only ONE (1) correct answer to each question, so the results won't be debatable.

2) We've set up an email inbox where you will send your answers. The address: (cbjtoday@gmail.com). You will have three (3) hours from the time the question is posted to email your answers to the CBJ Today inbox. Because of several issues -- including fairness -- there's going to be a very strict adherence to the time frame.

3) Because you're emailing your answers, that's how we will notify winners. There will be ONE (1) winner per week. Winners will be selected at random, and usually, will know by the end of the day on which the question is posted to the blog.

So, are YOU ready? Let's rock and roll.

TUESDAY TRIVIA QUESTION #1: Using a draft choice acquired from the San Jose Sharks, the Blue Jackets selected ________ with the pick. This player's younger brother would go on to play for the Blue Jackets during his career after being acquired in a trade with the Phoenix Coyotes.

Who is this player?
