Tickets for USA - Canada World Cup of Hockey pre-tournament game go on sale Apr. 8 at 10 a.m.

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets and USA Hockey announced today that tickets for the September 9 World Cup of Hockey 2016 pre-tournament game featuring Team USA and Team Canada at Nationwide Arena will go on sale to the public on Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. Team USA, which will be led by Blue Jackets Head Coach John Tortorella, will open its training camp at Nationwide Arena on Monday, September 5.

The World Cup of Hockey 2016 is set for September 17-October 1 in Toronto. In addition to the U.S., the eight teams participating in the tournament will include Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, Team Europe and Team North America. Four Blue Jackets have been named to preliminary rosters with Brandon Saad, Ryan Murray and Seth Jones set to play for North America and Sergei Bobrovsky competing for Team Russia. In addition, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen will serve as assistant general manager for Team Finland.

Final details surrounding Team USA’s training camp, including practice dates and times, will be released closer to the camp. This will be the second time that the Blue Jackets and Nationwide Arena will host Team USA prior to the World Cup of Hockey.
