COLUMBUS, OHIO — Columbus Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash and the Dispatch Media Group are partnering again in support of the 3rd annual "Jackets for Jackets" coat drive to help keep local families warm this winter. Fans are encouraged to help by bringing new or gently used jackets of all sizes to upcoming Blue Jackets home games at Nationwide Arena on Saturday, Nov. 28 (vs. Calgary), Monday, Nov. 30 (vs. St. Louis), Thursday, Dec. 3 (vs. Toronto), Saturday, Dec. 5 (vs. Colorado), Wednesday, Dec 9 (vs. Florida), Saturday, Dec. 12 (vs. Anaheim), Monday, Dec. 14 (vs. Nashville) and Thursday, Dec. 17 (vs. Phoenix). All of the jackets collected will be donated to the Salvation Army's "Coats for Columbus" program which will then redistribute the coats to local families in need.
Blue Jackets players' wives and broadcast personalities representing the Dispatch Media Group will be collecting the jackets on the designated game nights. All donors will receive vouchers for discounts on Blue Jackets tickets and skating passes at all Chiller Ice Rinks. For fans that are unable to make a game-night donation at Nationwide Arena, jackets will also be accepted at the Dispatch Ice Haus, the Chiller Ice Rinks, and at the FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line team store locations at Nationwide Arena and The Mall at Tuttle Crossing.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio HD will begin with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 7 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship station WWCD-FM, CD101, and online at www.BlueJackets.com.
