WEEK IN REVIEW: Nov. 16 – St. Louis 2, at Blue Jackets 0: Curtis Sanford made 36 saves and Lee Stempniak and Scott Young scored third period goals to lead the Blues to the win. Columbus outshot St. Louis 36 to 16 in the game, while both teams went 0-for-5 on the power play. Marc Denis made 14 saves in net for the Blue Jackets… Nov. 18 – at Dallas 6, Blue Jackets 3: Jere Lehtinen's power play goal at 9:06 of the third period broke a 3-3 tie and kept the Blue Jackets winless in Dallas. Bryan Berard scored two goals and Duvie Westcott added his first NHL goal as Columbus overcame 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 deficits before a late surge by the Stars, who converted 3-of-8 power play chances and added a shorthanded goal… Nov. 20 at Phoenix 5, Blue Jackets 1: Rookie Gilbert Brule scored his first career goal to cut a second period Phoenix lead to 2-1 at the 18:08 mark, but Zybynek Michalek lit the lamp just :52 later to propel the Coyotes to the win. Five different Coyotes scored goals and David Leneveu made 23 saves to earn the win in net. Marc Denis stopped 28-of-33 shots for Columbus.

BLUE JACKETS ACQUIRE SIX-TIME ALL-STAR SERGEI FEDOROV: The Blue Jackets acquired six-time All-Star, three-time Stanley Cup champion and 1993-94 NHL MVP C Sergei Fedorov and a fifth round pick in the 2006 Entry Draft from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks for C Tyler Wright and D Francois Beauchemin on Nov. 15. Fedorov, who made his Blue Jackets debut vs. St. Louis on Nov. 16 and picked up his first point as a Blue Jacket with an assist at Dallas on Nov. 18, has tallied 431-590-1,021 and 633 PIM in 996 career games with Columbus, Anaheim and Detroit. In 2003-04, he notched 31-34-65 with Anaheim, registering his fourth-straight 30-goal season and 10th of his career.

LAST THREE NUMBER ONE PICKS IN LINEUP TOGETHER: When the Blue Jackets visited Phoenix on Nov. 20, the club's last three No. 1 draft picks – RW Nikolai Zherdev (2003), LW Alexandre Picard (2004) and C Gilbert Brule (2005) – were all in the lineup together for the first time. Picard made his NHL debut at Dallas on Nov. 18, delivering a team-high six hits in 12:59 of action. Brule, who picked up an assist in his NHL debut at Washington on Oct. 5, returned to the lineup vs. Phoenix after missing 18 games due to a fractured sternum suffered vs. Calgary on Oct. 7 and scored his first career goal.

NEWS & NOTES: Newly acquired C Sergei Fedorov is four games shy of 1,000 in his NHL career… D Duvie Westcott scored the first goal of his NHL career at Dallas on Nov. 18. He has 1-1-2 in his last four games after being held without a point in his first 16 outings… D Bryan Berard collected his first career multi-goal game with two goals at Dallas on Nov. 18. He is among the top-scoring defensemen in the NHL with 5-10-15 in 21 games… RW David Vyborny collected his first multi-assist game of the season with 0-2-2 at Dallas on Nov. 18… LW Jason Chimera has registered 1-3-4 in his last six games… Columbus snapped an 0-for-20 drought on the power play with a 2-for-7 effort at Dallas on Nov. 18… Columbus entered the 2005-06 season having earned 52 points in 58 games during the month of November (20-26-6-6), but has gone just 1-8-0 this season... With last week's trade that sent Tyler Wright to Anaheim and last month's trade that sent Geoff Sanderson to Phoenix, only three players remain from Columbus' opening night roster of the inaugural 2000-01 season – G Marc Denis and RW David Vyborny, who spent the entire campaign with the club; and D Rostislav Klesla, who began the season in Columbus before returning to his junior club.

TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE CONTINUES WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY: The Blue Jackets are teaming up with the United States Marines, including members of Columbus-based Lima Company, to make the holidays a little brighter for other Columbus residents by participating in the 2005 Toys for Tots Toy Drive. TEAM USA BATTLES CANADA IN OLYMPIC WOMEN'S HOCKEY PREVIEW AT NATIONWIDE ARENA SUNDAY: The two superpowers of women's hockey meet on Sunday at Nationwide Arena in a tune up to the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy. Team USA, featuring Piqua, Ohio native Kristin King, faces off against Team Canada, featuring Ohio State University blueliner Tessa Bonhomme, at 5 p.m. in the Hilton Family Skate to 2006 Tour. Tickets are $13 and $21 and are on sale now.

MEMBERS OF TEAM USA TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS FOR FANS ON FRIDAY NIGHT: Members of Team USA's Women's Hockey Team will be signing autographs for fans on the Bud Light Terrace, located on the main concourse at Nationwide Arena, prior to Friday's Blue Jackets-Avalanche game. The autograph session will take place from 6 to 7 p.m.
