Its been a little too long since my last update, but I wanted to fill everyone in on what I have been doing the last few weeks. I am done with my travels for the year, it was pretty hectic getting from Moscow to L.A. to Columbus to Vernon, B.C., Canada.
Now, back to the training, which I have been going hard again for a week and it is going really well. It's been extremely hot out here, so I have to get up pretty early rather than fight the heat. I'm sending you a picture of Predator Ridge golf resort, where I biked this morning. It's a tough climb (as you can see from the photo), roughly 16 miles straight up a mountain. But, a very good test for me in preparation for the Ironman. The swim training has been very good lately. I did roughly 1.75 miles in an open water swim the other day, which was very encouraging because it's the only area that I don't have previous training experience in leading up to the race.
The count down in on now and I am getting pretty excited. I will send you an update next week and some pictures of my cheering crew.
Still need to keep the donations coming, so please forward the information about my race to whoever you know. Every dollar counts in our race to cure pediatric cancer.
