Well, the countdown is officially nearing the end. We are inside two weeks for the race and I am getting pretty excited to finally compete on race day.
It's been a pretty tiring ordeal and the amount of preparation that goes into something like this has been a great experience. The swim has been coming along real nice I'm actually at the point where it is enjoyable.
This is the last week of hard training as I will taper down my regiment the last week before the race. Basically, I will just use the final five or six days to rest. But, I will continue some transition work this week, specifically going from bike to run, so I am ready for that section of the race.
My kids Kennady, Tanner and Ava have become my personal masage therapists. That has come in handy as they have been and will continue to be my biggest cheering section. I will send a picture of all of us, me in my race gear on race day. The last two weeks, I still encourange you to make a big push to get people to donate to this wonderful cause. It's going to be a great day but more importantly it's for a great cause!
