The playoffs are in full swing and the Jackets have a 2-1 series lead. Stealing two games in Washington gave Columbus an advantage coming back to Nationwide Arena, and the 5th line reacted accordingly.

Playoff hockey in Columbus

Columbus was jumping for the home opener, which unfortunately ended in a 3-2 double overtime loss to Washington. People across the country took notice of the Blue Jackets though, including some local establishments.

Wenny was clearly excited to be back in Columbus with the lead.

Despite the loss, several Jackets made CBJ history including rookie Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Artemi Panarin continued to etch his name in the CBJ record books, becoming the first CBJ player with three multi-point postseason games.

Not only were players setting records, but the game itself was a CBJ record, for the longest game in franchise history.

With the Blue Jackets kicking off the postseason on the road, the players took to social media to show they were ready.
With the hockey postseason comes postseason beards, and two CBJ defensemen had quite the head start.

And Alexander Wennberg was so ready he was jumping with joy.

Game one was a back and forth game with an incredible ending in overtime on a backhand finish.

Not surprisingly, Bread was posing in Washington for everyone to see.
Game two was equally as exciting, and this time Matt Calvert was the CBJ hero.
