Scott Harrington loaned to Cleveland Monsters (AHL)

Defensemen will report today on a conditioning assignment

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets loaned for the purposes of conditioning defenseman Scott Harrington to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. 

Harrington, 23, has posted an assist and eight penalty minutes in 25 career NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins. He has added 8-31-39, 89 penalty minutes and is +32 in 141 career AHL games with the Toronto Marlies and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Originally the Penguins' second round pick, 54th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft, the Kingston Ontario native was acquired by the Blue Jackets in a trade from the Maple Leafs on June 25, 2016.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Saturday, October 15 when they host the San Jose Sharks.
